Amateur Shipping covers a wide range of activities such as going on fishing on your own boat, going on holiday with your family by sailing boat that you may rent, participating in sailing competitions and taking part in cruise on a sailing boat that travels around the world. The aim of such seminars is to produce persons who love sea and desire to live on the sea and make them ‘amateur seaman' by granting them necessary information, skills and documents.

Participants who complete theoretical training will have examinations organized by Amateur Shipping Federation authorized by Shipping Undersecretariat and can obtain ‘Amateur Seaman License' (the USA) and ‘Short Distance Wireless Operator Competence License'. These two documents are sufficient to drive boat until reaching 24 meters in all of the world sea.

With the help of the practices organized in Ankara every weekend, we will try to strengthen theoretical information. In such practices, you will be able to taste plying on sailing boats at the distance of between 33 ft and 44 ft (10 meters to 15 meters) and living on the sea by staying on the boat.

As well as participating in such training cruise with your family, those who are the holders of license but haven't done adequate practice and those who want to take theoretical courses later can participate in such practices.
We are going to help the participants in application formalities of both examinations organized by ADF.

Yet, remember that such seminars, examinations and licenses are instruments and the main thing is to learn sailing and shipping.
